Why do I need Permagard?

When degradation of the paint or gel coat surface occurs, the normal tendency is to cut and polish the surface. This abrasive action removes the oxidised film and leaves the remaining surface with a reduced layer of pigment and polished resin.  However, this restoration is only temporary

The more the area is treated in this manner, the faster it will deteriorate. This is obvious.  If a faded area is left untouched, the oxidised film will form a shielding skin over the surface and retard further ultra violet attack. Unfortunately, the visual appearance is so unattractive that the tendency is to clean it off and apply some polish to brighten up the finish.  Eventually this constant abrading reduces the finish to such a porous state that further 'polishing" is no longer viable. Now replacement of the coloured surface is essential.

When left out in the sun, the exposed surfaces quickly heat up and begin breaking down the wax. The wax melts, and while in a molten state, dust, industrial fallout, exhaust fumes and any other pollutants floating in the air are absorbed into the now sticky wax. The end result is that the wax traps dirt and pollutants next to the surface, which is exactly what you don't want! The next time you wash or wax your aircraft, boat or car; this dirt acts like sandpaper on the paint or gel coat surface.

Permagard:

Seals the external finish

Protects against fading and oxidation

Eliminates swirl marks

Easy to clean, no need to polish ever again

Does not contain wax or silicates

Will not create re-paint problems after those little accidents

Reduces drag and improves performance

Brilliant long lasting shine

Dramatically reduces maintenance time and cost

Has a proven track record.

Permagard is a reactive polymer technology, which bonds to the paint or gel coat surface, and forms a permanent high gloss protection for your aircraft, boat or car.
